Ridge Road Station holds train races twice a year. These train races involve strapping a rocket to the back of a g-gauge train car and launching it down a track! Also at the train races is a live steam track set up in the parking lot. There were five engines that ran while I was there. A shay, an 0-4-0 tank, 2-6-0, climax and my Ruby along with several more on display. The problem with going to events like this is that they lead to buying more engines! That climax is a work of art and I would like one of those shays too...
