The annual Thesherman festival at Kinzers is loaded with steam traction engines. They are used for various demonstrations including threshing and sawmill operations. They also have steam tractor games that really gives you a chance to see the skill behind operating these engines. Most of the engines at the festival are privately owned and are brought in just on special occasions. Each day at noon all the engines blow their whistle all at once and the ground shakes! It is deafening but really needs to be heard.
