Cedar Point & Lake Erie Railroad
If you want to ride the best roller coasters in the world, you go to Cedar Point. If you want a good place to see steam trains hauling loads of passengers, you go to Cedar Point! The Cedar Point & Lake Erie Railroad was opened in 1963 by then Cedar Point president, George A. Roose. The train stops at two stations along its two mile journey. It also rides through an animated "old west" show and under roller coasters as seen in the pictures below.
I was at Cedar Point in May of 2003. I was just there for one day, this was a mistake, you can't see all of Cedar Point in just one day. The railroad is very popular and trains run about every 15 minutes. The lines for the coasters tended to be very long. The yellow coaster in the pictures above had a line that was well over an hour long, but it didn't bother me as much because I got to see the train a lot!
